What is a UAN?
The Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12-digit number issued by EPFO that stays with you for life. Every EPF member account you get from different employers is linked under this single UAN.
Because the UAN is portable, your PF history follows you across jobs — provided your accounts are properly linked and transferred.

How do I find my UAN?
Your UAN is usually printed on your salary slip or provided by your employer, and can be found or activated on the official EPFO member portal.
I have multiple member IDs — is that a problem?
It’s common to have multiple member IDs from different employers under one UAN. Consolidating balances via transfer keeps everything compounding together.
